- A: The debtors name as it appears on their birth certificate is required. Should the debtor not have a middle name, it should be noted on your request form (nmn) also, often the debtor goes by a nickname or shortened form of name. This commonly used name may be entered as an additional debtor name to provide de facto notice only.
Q: Does the serial number in a motor vehicle always have 17 digits?
- A: All motor vehicles made after 1981 have 17 digits.
Q: When do i register a renewal?
- A: Renewals are registered to extend the term of an existing ppsa registration.
Q: When do i register an amendment?
- A: Amendments are filed to add or delete collateral, however, they cannot be used to change existing general description collateral.
Q: When do i register a re-registration?
- A: A re-registration allows a registration discharged in error to be re-registered if filed within 30 days.
Q: How long do i have to register a discharge?
- A: Within 30 days of fulfillment of obligations unless the registration will expire within 30 days naturally.
